In this class, students will be introduced to major works and authors in American Literature. Using a workshop model, students will read, write, analyze and discuss the many themes and structures found throughout American Literature. By the end of the year students will have fine tuned their English Language Arts skills and will move forward as masters of American Literature.
English III is designed for students exhibiting average reading and language arts skills. English III will cover reading, vocabulary, writing, speaking, and listening skills are taught through studying vocabulary, reviewing grammar principles,
writing compositions and analyzing American literature. The American literature for this course includes poetry, short stories, novels, plays, and nonfiction.
