Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork
It's time to connect with your classmates! Use the "Inbox" tool to reach out to three classmates and ask them to share their phone number and/or email to contact them outside of Canvas. You'll find the Inbox tool in your menu bar to the far left.
Whatever forms of communication you best connect to outside of class will work. You might even consider connecting through social media. The goal is to have a few people you can contact about the course outside of myself. Consider these your "buddies". I would like you to consult your buddies for questions about the assignments before reaching out to me. Of course, if it is concerning your grade or personal course performance, do not hesitate to reach out. The "three before me buddies" or "3B4M" practice is to encourage you to see each other as resource just as much as you see me as a resource. It's a good practice to reach out to classmates if you are experiencing personal challenges that prevent you from logging in. You might need a little motivation to keep going or to hear from someone else how they are managing assignments.
Example:
Name | Best Time to Contact | Email and/or Phone # |
Buddy #1 | 1 to 10 p.m. | 123@gmail.com |
Buddy #2 | Anytime | (555) 555-5555 |
Buddy #3 | 9 to 11 a.m. | 456@gmail.com |
