Hello Parents and Guardians: My name is Jeff Brentz at Millsap High School. I have teaching and coaching for 18 years, this is my 7th year at Millsap. I have a wife named Veronica and two children Gabby and Quentin. I will be coaching football, basketball, and head golf coach as well teaching regular and World Geography.
Course Description: World Geography provides students the opportunity to study the interaction of people and their physical environments in the major areas of the World. Content introduces the students to the world of geographers and their unique vocabulary and tools. Students acquire an understanding of the physical setting of the earth, locate and study different landforms and regions of the world, and learn how people and geography impact each other. Content offers students the opportunity to put into practice the geographical concepts and skills through critical thinking applications about the world. It also builds upon what the students have accumulated throughout the social studies program beginning in the elementary grades in the Texas and United States history courses.

Late Assignments: If the assignment is not turned in on the due date it will be accepted as late with a 10 point deduction per day. If a student is absent due to illness or a school related absence, the assignment is due the next day they return to school and will not receive the point deduction.
Make-Up Work: Work assigned prior to the absence(s) is due on the first return day. Assignments done in class during any school related absence are due at the next class meeting.
Make-Up Tests: You are required to take the test you miss the next day that you return to school. Arrangements must be made with the teacher to make up the test before or after school as make-up tests will not be administered during class time.
Re-Taking Tests: You may re-take a test with a failing grade once. However the maximum grade you can receive is a 80. In addition, the re-take test must be taken within three days from when the original grade was given on your own time and student must attend one tutoring session before taking test.
Projects: Guidelines for these projects will be given well in advance of the project’s due date, with ample time provided for completion. Late projects will not be taken after five days of the due date. My advice-----turn it in on timeJ
Academic Honesty: Cheating is any unauthorized sharing of information. Cheating is not limited to tests, but includes ANY assignment that has not been designated as group work. All parties involved in cheating will receive a zero on the assignment and a lowered conduct grade. Talking during a test/quiz is considered cheating.
Classroom Rules:
- All school rules provided in your student handbook will be followed in this classroom.
- Be ready to work when the bell rings
- Be respectful to the teacher and your classmates
- Only drinks with a lid are allowed in the classroom

Jeff Brentz
